Illinois Division Modules

The Illinois Division, based in the Chicago area, has a standalone loop of modules which the members show at regional and national events.  The  long dogbone-type loop  has a loop and a reversing loop at each end.  In between are any number of linear modules with tracks on both the front and back.  Together with the ends, the circular main line allows for both continuous running and also  reversing train direction.

The Illinois modules differ in design and construction from the tables in the St Louis area (Missouri Division) and many of those in the Arizona division.  These modules are 2-1/2' by 5' , rather than the 2' by 6' design used by the Missouri Division.  Details of the designs can be seen in the Standards section.
