The club loop tables were specifically designed to be a sectional 8-table loop with continuous scenery, to be assembled only one way by a minimum-sized crew using a minimum number of tools.  The tables were built using a revised club standard, all 2’ x 6’ x 2’ high (backdrop), with a single mainline track powered by DCC.  The layout was designed primarily by John Scherr and Chuck Graham, with ideas from other members.  Construction was begun in 2007 and was completed in 2020.  Several of the tables depict scenes from actual locations in Colorado, while others are “freelanced”.  The continuous scenery and skillfully painted backdrops add to the realism and was an important goal of the new layout.  The ninth table West End allows for connecting other modules as well as a way to turn trains & motive power on the wye.
